BEFORE YOU BEGIN……
Ensure that you have downloaded all the necessary files for the software you ordered.
Ensure that you have our unzip utility that will Unzip all .zip files. We suggest using TurboZip.
Ensure that you have available the Email Confirmation you received after placing your order for the software. This may contain your license key and specific instructions, which will be helpful during the installation.
It is recommended that you close all other applications prior to starting the installation.
The software you have downloaded is in compressed format (zipped), and must be uncompressed (unzipped) before installing.
1. Locate and click on Filemaker Pro 8 or Filemaker Pro Advanced 8 folder on your desktop. Double clicking will initiate the unzipping process.
2. The zip file initiates the decompression process and you can see all the files in the TurboZip Express window.
3. The next step is to EXTRACT the files to your desktop, using the default naming conventions that have been built into the .zip files.
4. Once unzipped and extracted, you will find a new folder on your desktop named Filemaker Pro or Filemaker Pro Advanced 8.
5. Repeat the above steps for the rest of the zipped files.
1. Inside the fmpro folder, double click on the “setup” file to launch the setup wizard for SAS 9.1.3. Installation will begin.
2. The Filemaker Pro or Pro Advanced window shown below will pop up.Click Next.
3. Agree to the License Agreement by clicking the" I accept....." radio button. Click Next.
4. Accept the default installation folder by clicking Next.
5. Click Complete to accept the complete installation option. Click Next.
6. Click Next to begin the installation.
7. The following window will pop up, indicating that the installation has started.
8. Click Finish to complete the installation of Filemaker Pro 8 or Filemaker Pro Advanced 8.
1. Download and unzip the fmp_80v2_win_installer.zip update as described in #1-5 above.
2. Click on the setup.exe icon in the FileMaker Pro 8.0v2 Folder. The following window will pop up. Choose the language you wish to install Filemaker in. Click Next.
3. Click Yes to agree to perform the upgrade.
4. The wizard will gather all the files necessary to do the upgrade and the window below will appear.
5. Click Next to begin installation.
6. Click Next. The wizard will install the updates, utilizing the choices you made in the prior screens.
7. Once the update is completed, the screen below will pop up. Click Finish.
Install the Filemaker Pro or Filemaker Pro Advanced 8v3 update in the same manner using the screens below for reference.
The 8v3 update does not have to be unzipped. Double clicking on the file will launch the update immediately.
