BEFORE YOU BEGIN……
Ensure that you have downloaded all the necessary files for the software you ordered, including any setinet or license files. It is suggested to create a folder on your desktop labelled SAS, and download all zips to that folder.
For SAS you will need to download the following: SAS913_setup.zip, SAS913_disk1.zip, SAS913_disk2.zip, SAS913_disk3.zip, SAS913_disk4.zip (this is the SAS/Secur disk) , SAS913_disk5.zip (this is the SAS/Shared Components disk) and, SAS913_setinets.zip.
Ensure that you have our unzip utility that will Unzip all .zip files. We suggest using TurboZip.
Ensure that you have available the Email Confirmation you received after placing your order for the software. This may contain your license key and specific instructions, which will be helpful during the installation.
It is recommended that you close all other applications prior to starting the installation.
The software you have downloaded is in compressed format (zipped), and must be uncompressed (unzipped) before installing.
1. Locate and click on sas_setup.zip on your desktop. Double clicking will initiate the unzipping process. It is suggested unzipping to the SAS folder on your desktop that was created during the download.
2. The zip file initiates the decompression process and you can see all the files in the TurboZip Express window.
3. The next step is to EXTRACT the files to your desktop, using the default naming conventions that have been built into the .zip files.
4. Once unzipped and extracted, you will find a new folder on your desktop named “sas_setup_disk.”
5. Repeat the above steps for the rest of the zipped files.
1. Inside the SAS913_Setup_disk folder, double click on the “setup” file to launch the setup wizard for SAS 9.1.3. Installation will begin.
2. The first screen will pop up. Click #3--Install SAS Software. Click Next. If you are unsure if your system is suitable to run SAS 9.1.3, you should click on #2--Verify System Requirements to ensure compliance before beginning the installation.
3. The screen below will launch, indicating the beginning of the SAS Setup Wizard. Click Next.
4. Click File. Click Next.
5. Click Browse. This will launch a window for you to locate and click on the location where you saved the SAS Setinet file downloaded with the .zip files from the CU Software Licensing website. Click Next.
6. Review the Installation Data retrieved from the SAS setinet file for accuracy, then click Next.
7. The following window will pop up, indicating that the installation has started.
8. Select the language(s) you wish supported in SAS, including English. Click Next.
9. Accept the default installation directory on the Destination Folder screen. Click Next.
10. Confirm the installation options you have selected are correct. Click Next.
11. Click Next to begin installation.
12. Once the first CD has completed, you will need to point the installer to the location of the next disk's folder, (please read the name on the pop up screen) and click OK to continue installing. Repeat this step to point the installer to the location of the next folder when asked to do so. and click OK. Continue repeating this step till the installationcompletes. The final step will be to point the installation to the SAS setup folder again.
13. When the Setup Wizard has completed the installation, the window below will pop up. Click Finish to exit your completed installation.
You can now delete the SAS Folder containing the zip files and temporary folders from your desktop. Enjoy using SAS 9.1.3 !!
