BEFORE YOU BEGIN……
Ensure that you have available the Email Confirmation you received after placing your order for the software. This may contain your license key and specific instructions, which will be helpful during the installation.
It is recommended that you close all other applications prior to starting the installation.
In order to update your software with the new code received in the Order Confirmation email, you will need to run the SPlus Wizard for License Manager.
1. To acess the Manager, click on the Start Menu-->All Program-->SPlus-->Splus Wizard for License Manager. The following window will open. Click Next.
2. Enter the License Authorization Code (LAC) you were provided in the order confirmation email. Click Next.
3. A final window will open, indicating that you have completed the software's authorization procedure, and it is now ready to be used. Click Finish.
SPlus has indicated that the old license file will stay in effect until it expires, at which time the program will recognize that they license key is expired and go searching in the SAME directory for any CURRENT license files. It will use the new files.
ALTERNATELY you can delete any license files prior to attempting the update.
The files are located in C:/Program Files/Insightful/splus70/adm/lic/keys
And the file has a .lic extension.
You can either just delete all of the .lic files, and reauthorize, or you can open each and look at the expiration, then delete the old ones that are about to expire.
Either way.......the program WILL continue to work.
ONE CAVEAT: DO NOT MODIFY ANY OF THE FILES. It will render the program completely useless.
